Analysis of three pop digipaks (research)

Kesha's front cover( pop/mainstream)
I feel this is a good digipak because it has the typical convetions of a womens pop artist cover with a close up of there face. This picture is in black and white with gold glitery lips, this stands out and makes a statements and catches the eye of the buyer which is the overall aim for the digipak. i feel this is a effective as its very distintive in shops when people are looking to buy a cd of there favourate singer. Also Keshas Digipak has used effects but it works well as the background as kesha's face is sorrounded by a white glow then on a dark background which also makes it stand out. The colour scheme for her abulm is gold glitter font which is bold  this runs though out which makes you know its her digipak and gives the artist her own image.

This is what would be located inside the digipak, as you can see shes got the same styled font with is gold glittery this is a strong method as the buyer can make a link between the inside and out of the cover.
This is the back where the barcode, tracklist, record label  is located. The theme is still strong on this panel and it has all the typical convetions of a digipak for example the bar code.

Loud

This is rihannas digipak for Loud, even though she isnt a pop artist shes still very mainstream and i feel this is a good digipak to analyise. Rihanna took a very differnet approch compared to kesha when it comes to her front cover as its a very simple cover with once again the conventional close up with the title in the right place under her  face without effects. The colour red really stands out as its dominate over the other colours and it comes up alot. On her backcover the bar code is there and the tracklist with a picture of her which you could link together.Rihanna has a very distintive sytle as theres a strong link inbetween her digipak and her video on the abulm 'only girl' The hair is the same which stands out and would make people recoginze her video. i would like to use this technique with my digipak.

Jason derulo

This is another pop digipak which has a close up of the face, this time a man with a plan title. The way Jason derulo is wrote on the title in bold font is something he uses alot with his work, this makes it recongizable. He has used a simple effect, not as complicated as kesha. He has put a blue hint to the raw photo and used this blue hint thoughout. I dont like this digipak to be honest as i find it boring and it wouldnt stand out to me, i feel that the picture should be giving eye contact or they should have used the orginal photo in order to make it look pleasing to the eye.
